Set in 1944 within Nazi-occupied France, players assume the role of Harry Hawker, an agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE). The narrative runs parallel to the events of “Sniper Elite 5,” focusing on Hawker’s mission to collaborate with the French Resistance in thwarting a new Nazi superweapon.

The game maintains the series’ hallmark tactical third-person combat and stealth mechanics. Players navigate expansive, open-ended levels with multiple infiltration and extraction points, allowing for diverse strategic approaches. The signature X-ray kill cam returns, providing detailed visuals of bullet impacts. Additionally, the game introduces “Propaganda Missions,” where players undertake time-sensitive objectives as members of the French Resistance. The cooperative campaign mode supports two players, and the competitive multiplayer accommodates up to 16 participants.
